What if understanding regulation starts with understanding what’s happening inside the body?

Interoception is the sensory system that helps us notice internal signals—like hunger, a racing heart, tense muscles, or butterflies in our stomach. This presentation explores the connection between interoception and regulation, helping us better understand what may be underneath a child’s responses and how to support regulation in a meaningful, individualized way.

Presented by Jessica Ravineala, MS, OTR/LJessica is a licensed occupational therapist and co-founder of The Therapy SPOT and Bridges Development Center. She specializes in sensory processing, DIRFloortime®, and child-led, neurodiversity-affirming approaches that prioritize regulation, connection, and relationships.
